You can begin adding custom links to your linkchain as soon as you've chosen your profile options. Custom links are the main way to direct your visitors to your content.
Adding custom links
On the 'My Links' tab on your account page, click the 'Custom Links' tab to begin adding links. Press the 'Add a link' button to create your first custom link.
The link text, link type and link URL fields are required.
Link Text
The link text is what is shown on the link button that your profile visitors see. It should accurately explain where the link will direct to if clicked. Keep it short but attention grabbing!
Link Type
After adding a new link, you firstly need to specify the link type. This could be an External Link, whereby you provide the URL to a third party website that your users will be sent to when they click the link. Or select one of the embedded apps to host the content right on your linkchain bio page - this is a great way to quickly engage with your content by embedding music, videos, surveys and more onto your profile page.
Link URL
After selecting the link type, the other required field is the link URL. This field is complulsory for each link, as you must let us know where to find your content so we can display it to your users. For an External Link, this is just the URL of where you want to redirect your visitors. For embedded content, it could be the link to a Spotify album or a YouTube video.
Thumbnail Image
You can add a thumbnail to each custom link by inputting the URL to the picture, or alternatively uploading an image file.
More Options
If your content is not suitable for all audiences, activate the toggle to display a warning when the link is clicked. This warning will notify your visitor of potentially sensitive content and ask them if they wish to proceed. Remember, you must ensure that the sites and content you add links to are acceptable as per our terms of use.
Reordering and deleting
It is easy to drag and drop your custom links into the order you want. By default, adding a new link places it at the bottom of your page, so use the reordering functionality if you want to put the link higher up.
Each link has a icon to the left side of the link. Press and drag this to move the link to a new position.
To delete a link, simply press the icon that is on the right of the relevant link.
Link Headings
If you have many custom links on your linkchain Link In Bio, you may want to consider using link headings.
By organising your links into labelled groups, you can make it even easier for your visitors to find the content they are looking for.
To add link headings, click the 'Add a heading' button on the Custom Links page (underneath the 'Add a link' button). Then simply enter the heading text to show on your page. Drag the heading above the links you want it to label.
Headings are a useful way to organise and structure your content, especially if you have lots of links.
Save your changes
Press the 'Update Custom Links' button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
